The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are known far beyond the borders for their fascinating sun gardens, water and terrace gardens, pavilions, forest gardens and grottos and cacti and succulent mounds. In the adjacent Touriseum you can enjoy an exciting journey through the history of tourism in Merano and in South Tyrol.

Merano Thermal Baths

Thanks to the mild, Mediterranean climate and the thermal springs, Merano has become an exclusive and renowned health resort at the beginning of the 20th century. The Art Nouveau flair can still be noticed everywhere, even though modern wellness has been defined in a new way. The new thermal baths provide an architectonic masterpiece by Matteo Thun. They feature numerous adventure pools, saunas and a spacious park for true relaxation in the heart of the city.

Merano Music Weeks

The Merano Music Weeks – an internationally renowned Premium festival for the past 30 years. From the end of August to the end of September, renowned artists present their music in the amazing Art Nouveau Kursaal hall. The programme includes varied styles - from classic to cross-over.

Merano WineFestival

A must for all those who love the good taste of wine. The Merano WineFestival in November has long advanced to a gastronomical highlight. More than 450 international wine producers present their specialties, which are accompanied by the best of Italian delicacies within the framework of the Merano Culinaria event.
